SS-31 Reconstitution Calculator
For in vitro research use only · Not medical advice
Preset to a 10 mg SS-31 vial in 2 mL of diluent. A 10 mg vial in 2 mL yields 5 mg/mL. Use low-bind labware at low working concentrations.
SS-31 reconstitution
Preset to a common SS-31 vial size and diluent volume. Adjust any field for your own laboratory protocol.
A 10 mg SS-31 vial reconstituted with 2 mL gives 5 mg/mL. Measuring 0.100 mL gives 500 mcg per portion — about 20 portions from the vial.
Choosing a diluent for SS-31
Freely water-soluble owing to its cationic character; dissolves quickly and cleanly. Use low-bind labware, since the strong positive charge promotes adsorption to surfaces.
Handling notes for SS-31
- Reach room temperature before opening.
- Use low-bind labware and buffers at low working concentrations to limit adsorption of the cationic peptide.
- Aliquot and refrigerate.
After reconstitution
USP-grade sterile bacteriostatic water, 10 mL multi-use vial.
