Research Peptide Purity in Canada: What 8 Independent COAs Show

By Kenan Williams · Founder, responsible for Quality Assurance · Updated 2026-07-15

Across the 8 research-peptide batches Popular Peptides Canada has published third-party Certificates of Analysis for, mean HPLC-UV purity was 99.44%, with a median of 99.58% and a range of 98.41%100.00%. 7 of 8 batches tested at ≥99% purity, and all 8 tested at ≥98%. Every batch was analysed by an independent laboratory (TESTIDES) — not in-house — and each certificate is tied to a verifiable batch number.

This is a short, data-first report on the analytical quality of research peptides sold in Canada, using our own published lab results as the dataset. All figures are analytical measurements only; nothing here is guidance for use in humans or animals — these compounds are for in vitro laboratory research use only.

Why this matters

Purity is the number that separates a research-grade peptide from an unknown. A compound labelled “95% pure” contains up to twenty times more unidentified material than one at 99.75% — and in research, that unaccounted-for fraction is what confounds results. Yet most of the market either publishes no Certificate of Analysis at all, or publishes an in-house one with no independent lab named. The point of this report is simple: show the actual numbers, name the lab, and let the batch numbers be checked.

Methodology

Every batch is sent to an independent third-party laboratory (TESTIDES) and analysed on a standard panel:

  • HPLC-UV purity & content analysischromatogram recorded at 214 nm — the primary purity measurement.
  • LC-MS identityconfirms the compound matches the label.
  • Content / fill accuracymeasured mass against labelled mass.
  • Appearancephysical inspection of the lyophilized powder.
  • Sterilityscreen on the finished vial.

Every number above traces to a published certificate. Enter a batch number to pull the matching COA and read the full chromatogram — no account required. A purity figure you can’t check is just a marketing claim.

Popular Peptides Canada supplies research-grade peptide compounds across Canada — third-party tested, COA included, shipped from Vancouver, BC. All products are for in vitro laboratory research use only and are not intended for human or veterinary consumption. Figures in this report are analytical measurements of product quality and are not statements about any biological effect. Dataset: 8 batches with third-party COAs published as of 2026-07-15; this report is updated as further batches are tested.
